Privacy
Reformed is a small, independent project. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect on this website and what the upcoming Reformed iPhone app will and won't do with your data.
The waitlist
When you ask to be notified, we store:
- your email address and the time you signed up;
- your optional answers: whether you have an iPhone and your neighborhood;
- where you came from: the campaign tags in the link you clicked (for example
utm_source) and the referring web page.
We use this only to tell you when Reformed is ready for you and to understand which channels reach people. We don't store your IP address; it's used briefly in scrambled form to stop spam. Signups are stored with our database provider, Upstash, on infrastructure run by Vercel, our hosting provider.
The Reformed app
The app's job is to notice your Pilates classes so you don't have to log them. With your permission it can use:
- Location, to recognize when you arrive at a Pilates studio. Detection happens on your iPhone. We do not store or upload your location history, only the class that was detected (studio, date and time).
- Apple Health, to read workouts you've recorded so a class can be confirmed. Health data is processed on your phone, is never used for advertising or sold, and is never shared with studios or brands.
- Calendar, to match booking events to classes. We read only what's needed to recognize a class.
Each permission is optional and can be turned off at any time in iOS Settings. The app still works without them; you can add classes yourself.
What we never do
- We never sell your personal information.
- Studios never see your personal info.
- We don't use Apple Health data for advertising or share it with data brokers.
If we ever offer studios aggregate insights (like how busy Tuesdays are across a neighborhood), they will be built only from grouped, de-identified data, and never from Apple Health data.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep waitlist data until the app launches for you or you ask us to delete it. To see, correct or delete everything we have about you, email reformed@mail.grokbot.com. We'll confirm when it's done, normally within 30 days. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, and we honor these requests for everyone.
Children
Reformed isn't directed to anyone under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date above and, if you're on the waitlist, email you before the change applies.
